Nuestros amigos escoceses de Hanon presentan nueva colaboración de la mano de Asics y Onitsuka Tiger basada en Thomas Glover, comerciante escocés que estuvo en Japón durante la era Ansei y Meiji, conocido en ese país por las considerables contribuciones que hizo a su industrialización.
El primer modelo, el Onitsuka Tiger Colorado Eighty-Five hace referencia al país del sol naciente con el color amarillo y negro y con el detalle del famoso bigote que llevaba Glover en el talón de las zapatillas. El segundo modelo, el Gel Epirus de Asics, hace referencia al emblema nacional escocés, el cardo, también estampado en el talón. Las zapatillas vienen en mint green suede mezclado con nubuck lila.

Scotch sneaker retailer Hanon have been enlisted by sportswear giants Asics and Onitsuka Tiger for a pair of sneakers based around intrepid Scottish merchant Thomas Glover, who made fame and fortune in the athletic companies Japanese homeland.
The first colorway references the Land of the Rising Sun with a golden yellow and black colorway sporting a subtle reference to Glover’s iconic mustache on the heel, while the second depicts the Thistle (Scotland’s national emblem) via a plush mix of mint green suede with purple nubuck overlays.
Launch next Saturday October 4th.
